Silvia Hassouna

Silvia is a cultural-political geographer. Her research focuses on questions of land dispossession, environmental imaginaries, and resistance through art. Silvia’s recent work explores Palestinian ecological activism and environmental knowledges, focusing on creative anticolonial practices at the museum and the botanical garden. Silvia’s multidisciplinary research interrogates how environmental futures in the Middle East are imagined, governed and contested under conditions of colonialism and late modern war.
