Associate Professor, Law School
I have published research on the application of English property law to the first English colonisation of North America, and the techniques of property law developed in this colonial context which were then applied in other contexts. I have also written on the understanding of the colonisation of North America in the history and teaching of international law. Currently, I am researching the application of international law on territory and law of the sea in the Arctic. This research is nascent, but will include the history of the application to the Arctic on land, sea and ice.
