Alice Nah

Associate Professor, Department of Sociology
Alice Nah is a decolonial, feminist scholar who conducts research on the security and protection of human rights defenders at risk. She is interested in the ways in which Indigenous communities defend their rights to land, the environment, and their ways of life. She examines how coloniality shapes the ways in which human rights is imagined and practiced, exploring how decolonial approaches can unsettle, disrupt, and enable alternative forms of resistance.
